Our Melbourne Spring Fashion Week Creative Stars share their predictions for the must-wear trends of spring/summer '15. Get ahead of the curve here.

The beginning of each new fashion season brings with it a myriad of trends, each alluring in their own way and waiting to be mastered.

Here, the effortlessly stylish Lisa Hamilton of renowned blog See Want Shop, Forever New’s very own design team member Anna Pipkorn and stylist to the Forever New Melbourne Spring Fashion Week Hub Runway Show Michelle Cammiade, tell us their predictions for the must-wear trends for spring/summer ’15 to invest in now, and master ahead of the curve.

Anna Pipkorn – Design Team, Forever New

1. Nostalgic Bohemian
This trend will be key this spring, shown through a mix of washed pastels, botanical florals, antique laces and bohemian styling. This trend nods to soft billowing silhouettes, which will be seen primarily in printed blouses and dresses.

2. Utilitarian
Silk shirts and soft blouses will be worn back with army style jackets and pants detailed with gold hardware trims. Tonal prints will tie back with a neutral palette and will make this a key trend to step into this spring.

3. The Seventies
Think mod silhouettes, palazzo pants and mini shift dresses. This trend is a great one to incorporate layering, with high roll necks under mini pinafore dresses or chunky cable sweaters with a mini A-line skirt and tights. The colours are fun and retro, with burnt orange, off beat blues and dusty creams all being key.

1. Lace
It’s always a spring favourite, but for the new season expect a fresh take on this stunning classic texture. Lace can be paired with practically everything!

2. The Oversized Fascinator
Say goodbye to your hats & minimalistic headpieces, the humble fascinator is back, bigger & better than ever. Best worn with a slick ponytail as the perfect finishing touch to your race day dress.

3. The Flare Silhouette
It was certainly touched on last season, but this spring the flare will return with force. Think flared sleeves, skirts & pants.

Michelle Cammiade – Stylist, Forever New MSFW Hub Runway Show

1. Monochrome Colour
Blocking Bold black and white combinations in chic tailored midi skirts, crop tops and high waisted palazzo style pants or culottes. This look is graphic and punchy worn best with minimal accessories and sky-high heels.

2. The Sleeveless Jacket
This is the perfect trans-seasonal piece. Worn over high waisted skinny jeans with a classic tee and strappy heels for a super chic casual look. Or styled back with a high waisted pencil skirt, fitted crop top, sleek wrist cuff and a great pair of sunnies.

3. The Jumpsuit
The jumpsuit is a wardrobe must, that with a few key accessories, like a statement necklace and an envelope clutch in a bold colour can take you from day to night. Perfect for the party season upon us.
