Two years ago, we were delighted to offer RMIT Fashion Design student, Victoria Bliss a place in the Forever New Design team.
Fast forward just under two years, and Victoria is now thrilled to be launching her first capsule collection, as part of the Designer Edit range. We sat down with Victoria to discuss the details behind her very first capsule range.
Talk us through the inspiration behind the designer edit collection?
For this capsule collection, I wanted to offer the customer what I believe to be luxury staples: a tailored suit, wool coat, a chic Milano knit. I looked to both couture catwalk and street style when designing the range. I looked specifically at Parisian street style as I was so inspired after travelling there with Forever New on a fabric sourcing trip. I was really influenced by the chic, effortless nature of the Parisian women and wanted to capture that in the range. The final pieces are refined but at the same time they offer something for everyone, from the floral printed blouses to the backless jumpsuit – I designed the range with the Forever New customer in mind.
