Isabelle Cornish stars in a light-hearted short film set against the backdrop of an early 20th century country estate in Bowral NSW. The story revels in the spontaneity and joy of the Spring Summer season. Isabelle’s classic beauty and bold spirit embody this season’s collection.
There is a contrast between old world femininity, soft pastel tones and flowing fabrics with playful, modern silhouettes and unexpected details such as puffed sleeves, cut outs and sheer lace.
We stole 10 minutes to sit down with Isabelle Cornish between takes at our shoot to talk spring, holidays, and Isabelle’s travel must-haves.
Forever New: What are you most looking forward to this spring?
Isabelle Cornish: Long summer beach days. I love eating a home cooked meal in the as the sun goes down. I’m looking forward to more time in the ocean and outdoor activities that I enjoy, such as skateboarding and bike riding.
FN: What are your favourite things to do in spring?
IC: My favourite things to do in spring are to spend time exploring the reserves near my home to appreciate all the beautiful flowers coming into bloom. I also enjoy the farmer’s markets and sourcing fresh spring produce.
FN: What are your 5 must-have pieces from the Forever New spring collection?
IC: For glamorous evenings out, I love the statement one-shoulder, bright red Makenzie One Shoulder dress. For more casual dressing, I am obsessed with anything and everything linen, so the pinstripe, button through summer dresses like the Mia Tie Front Dress, the Ronnie Stripe Jumpsuit, and two-piece printed co-ords Kelly Co-ord Bustier and Shorts are essentials. Accessory-wise, I wore the 3-strap 100% leather stiletto Leah Strappy Stiletto sandals, which are amazing! They’re comfortable and flattering. Headscarves are my must-have spring/summer headpiece. I adore the navy and white polka dot version wrapped around my ponytail or tied up on a clutch bag.
FN: What’s your ideal spring destination?
IC: Byron Bay. Some of my family live on a macadamia farm outside of Byron. I love to spend my time there on the property, at the beach and getting quality family time.
FN: What kind of spring activities do you enjoy doing with your girlfriends?
IC: Coffee and brunch dates are perfect for spring. With the weather warming, we always opt for a table outside. My girlfriends and I also love to run at sunrise and grab coffee after.
FN: What’s your favourite spring flower?
FN: You travel a lot between Australia and the US, what are your must-haves when you travel?
IC: My must-haves when I travel are:
A travel scarf: must purpose travel item
Great music and wireless earphones
Coconut oil (I eat it, moisturize with it and use it to wash my face)
