Romance is in the air. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we are looking to elegant shades of love. From decadent Wineberry to soothing Rose, and all the burgundy, blush, and petal creams in between, stylist Kirsty Barros, shared her favourite ways to wear hues of the heart.
Add drama to your look with shades of berry. Kirsty suggests that as the weather cools down, darker shades in your wardrobe are brought to the fore – “Decadent and rich, wineberry is the perfect hue for the transition into winter”. Add a textural statement in the form of a luxe velvet bag to finish the look.
“Shades of blush are a nod to the romance in the air at this time of year”. Kirsty suggests those new to the hue should try blending with minimal, effortless accessories, “to ensure the overt elegance is made modern.” Blush tones are just as relevant on footwear, jewellery, and bags. Expert in the field? Blush all over makes a very seasonal statement.

Pantone’s 2016 colour of the year continues to carry itself into 2017. Kirsty loves Rose not only for its relevancy on the catwalks across the globe, but also the way it makes the wearer feel – “picturesque and calming, I adore Rose for its subtle, soothing nature”.
