For those lucky enough to trade in the gloomy weather for Rome’s sunny days and warm nights, there’s an endless list of sights to see, food to eat and culture to absorb.
To help you plan your itinerary, we’ve popped together a little guide to making the most of time in the city.
After an espresso or three (depending on your jetlag) we suggest spending your mornings exploring the historic city. It’s the perfect time of day to take in the sights. Make sure the Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum, Colosseum and Altare della Patria are on the top of your list.
Don’t forget to pack:
An effortless floral midi dress or pair a fresh white blouse with denim skinny jeans and sandals for casual look.
There’s no better way to embrace the sweet life than by slowing down and indulging in Italy’s finest food and vino. Afternoons are best spent basking in the sun at many of the city’s outdoor dining spaces and strolling the cobblestoned streets to take in the awe-inspiring architecture.
Don’t forget to pack:
A wrap mini dress, flowing midi skirt and knit singlet.
Rome comes alive after dark. After a well-deserved rest, enjoy slipping into something a little special before heading out for a romantic late-night dinner. Of course, all good meals should be followed with (another) glass of fine wine at one of Piazza Navona’s many vino bars.
Don’t forget to pack:
A cowl neck satin dress and clutch.
